Dr Siva Balaji completed his UG from Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Ayurveda College & Hospital, Chennai with Top the university ranking Silver Medalist in March 2008. He completed his MS- Shalakya Tantra from SDM College of Ayurveda & Hospital, Hassan in 2013. Presently he is working as Associate Professor in Amrita School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kerala. He has a working experience as consultant & teaching in Ayurveda Ophthalmology & ENT (Shalakya Tantra) past 8 years since 2014. His area of expertise is Shalakya Tantra. He has enough background in clinical research, with specific training and expertise in the management of Retinal disorder, Nasal disorder and headache with Ayurvedic interventions. He has conducted various hand on training program on Ayurveda procedures and instrument demonstration in various Institutions across India. He is the Inventor of a unique Bio medical equipment called 'Automated seka machine'. He is a Reviewer for Journals such are Ayurveda Case Report: AYUCARE, AIIA Journal and Journal of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine (JAIM). He has published more than 15 papers in Indexed Journal inclusive of 5 Scopus papers. He is the Guide for 7 PG Scholars at present and has presented 10 papers in National and International conferences in which he received 3 Best Paper Awards. At present he is working on Allergic Rhinitis by Ayurvedic Management as a part of his PhD Research Project. He holds esteemed position as Managing Editor of Amritavabodhini Magazine and Alumni Coordinator in Amrita School of Ayurveda. He has taken up a Research project for Post Graduate study such as Efficacy of Ayurveda Medicine in Curative intended Radiotherapy Induced Xerostomia in Head and Neck Cancer done at Department of Cancer, Amrita Institute of Medical Science (AIMS), Kochi.
